However, beneath this exterior she’s a tomboy who imitates flounders, laughs like an alligator, and is known for her extraordinary strength. She specialises in ssanti dances, finding random chicken feet in the middle of the night, and breaking six chopsticks in one go. This is Im Choding. The face of Girls’ Generation.

There is this misconception about Yoona being the centre player. Being the centre of the group does not solely give her an advantage. In fact, with this position, it seems like Yoona was more at a disadvantage in some occasions. Although she is centre of popularity; at times, she was centre of the hurt. Centre of the criticism. Yet she’s a fighter; pushing through hardships and negativity with an unwavering perseverance and strength of mind. As the centre, this is how she protects her group. By always putting up a brave face.

Im Yoona, a walking perfection;
There are hundreds of words that can be used to describe her perfection. I’ve always thought I could list them all. But at that time, when she stood a metre or two away from me, I realised that such perfection was too beautiful for words. I’m sure some of you who have seen her in person, could relate. That moment of being utterly speechless in amazement.
